Lamb Tagine with Crispy Crunch
A classic Moroccan dish made with tender lamb, crunchy nuts, and a blend of spices. Serve with couscous or bread for a hearty meal.
Ingredients
- β1.5 pounds Lamb shouldercut into 1-inch pieces
- β2 tablespoons Turkish olive oil
- β1 large Onionchopped
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- β2 teaspoons Cuminground
- β1 cup Crispy almonds
- β1 cup Nutty couscous
- β2 teaspoons Tagine spice blend
- β1 teaspoon Salt
- βchopped Fresh parsley

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add lamb and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Add onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

Add cumin, tagine spice blend, and salt. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Add 2 cups of water and bring to a boil.

Transfer to the oven and braise for 2 hours, or until lamb is tender.

Meanwhile, toast almonds in a small pan over medium heat for 2-3 minutes, or until fragrant.

Stir in chopped parsley.

To serve, divide lamb among bowls and top with toasted almonds and a side of couscous.
