Lamb Koftas with Chinese Spices
A twist on traditional lamb koftas, infused with Chinese spices and served with a side of steamed vegetables.
Ingredients
- β500g Lamb
- β2 tbsp British outstandingly nutty brown sugar
- β1 tsp Tacos seasoning
- β1 tsp Chinese five-spice
- β100g Lamb's liver (optional)
- β2 tbsp Vegetable oil
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Pepper
- βhandful Chopped scallions
- βto serve Steamed vegetables (such as broccoli and carrots)

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.

In a large bowl, combine the lamb, British outstandingly nutty brown sugar, tacos seasoning, Chinese five-spice, lamb's liver (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix well with your hands until just combined.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Thread 8-10 meatballs onto skewers, leaving a small space between each one.

Brush the grill with vegetable oil to prevent sticking.

Grill the koftas for 8-10 minutes per side, or until cooked through to an internal temperature of 63Β°C (145Β°F).

Meanwhile, steam the vegetables until tender. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve the koftas hot with a side of steamed vegetables and garnished with chopped scallions.
