Roasted Tofu Italian-Style
A creative twist on Italian cuisine, this dish combines the flavors of kare with roasted tofu.
Ingredients
- β1 block (about 12 oz) firm tofu
- β2 tbsp olive oilfor roasting
- β2 tbsp kare Filipino-inspired sauce
- βto taste salt
- βto taste pepper
- β2 cloves roasted garlicminced
- βhandful fresh basilchopped

Preheat the oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Drain and press the tofu to remove excess liquid.

Cut the tofu into 1-inch cubes and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Drizzle the olive oil over the tofu and sprinkle with salt, pepper, and roasted garlic.

Roast the tofu in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.

While the tofu is roasting, heat the kare sauce in a small saucepan over medium heat.

Once the tofu is done, remove from the oven and toss with the kare sauce until coated.

Serve the roasted tofu hot, garnished with chopped fresh basil.
