Braised Syrian Meat Pilaf
A hearty French-inspired dish featuring tender Syrian meat and flavorful pilaf.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Syrian meatCut into 1-inch pieces
- β2 tablespoons Olive oil
- β1 medium Onion
- β3 cloves Garlic
- β1 cup Pilaf rice
- β2 cups Chicken broth
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black pepper

Preheat oven to 300Β°F (150Β°C).

Season the Syrian meat with salt and black pepper.

Heat olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Sear the meat until browned, then set aside.

Add the onion and garlic to the pot and cook until the onion is translucent.

Add the pilaf rice to the pot and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.

Add the chicken broth to the pot and bring to a boil.

Add the browned meat back to the pot and stir to combine.

Cover the pot with a lid and transfer to the preheated oven.
