Polish-Style Pork and Dumplings
A hearty and comforting Polish-inspired dish featuring tender pork and soft dumplings.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Pork shoulderCut into 1-inch cubes
- β1 package (usually found in the refrigerated section) Dumpling doughThaw according to package instructions
- β1 teaspoon SaltTo taste
- β1/2 teaspoon Black pepperTo taste
- β1 medium OnionChopped
- β3 cloves GarlicMinced
- β1/2 pound Polish sausageSliced
- β2 tablespoons Soft flourFor dusting dumplings

Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Season the pork cubes with salt and black pepper.

In a large skillet, cook the pork over medium-high heat until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Transfer the pork to a baking dish and set aside.

Add the chopped onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

Add the sliced Polish sausage to the skillet and cook until browned, about 3 minutes.

Roll out the dumpling dough to a thickness of about 1/4 inch.

Cut the dough into 8 equal pieces and roll each into a ball.

Dust the dumplings with soft flour, then flatten each into a disk shape.

Place the dumplings on top of the pork in the baking dish.
