Gigantes Plaki
A classic Greek recipe featuring giant beans in a rich tomato sauce. This hearty stew is perfect for a cold winter night.
Ingredients
- β1 cup, drained and rinsed giant beans
- β2 tablespoons olive oil
- β1 medium, chopped onion
- β2 cloves, minced garlic
- β1 (28 oz) can canned crushed tomatoes
- β2 tablespoons tomato paste
- β2 tablespoons lemon juice
- β1 cup water

Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute.

Add the giant beans, crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, lemon juice, and water to the saucepan.
