German Burger Sliders
A twist on traditional burgers, these German-inspired sliders feature a dense and flavorful patty topped with tangy sauerkraut and melted cheese.
Ingredients
- β1 lb Ground Beef80/20 lean to fat ratio
- β1/4 cup BreadcrumbsPanko or regular
- β1 EggLarge
- β1/2 cup OnionFinely chopped
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Pepper
- β1 cup Sauteed SauerkrautCooked with caraway seeds
- β4 slices Swiss Cheese

Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, salt, and pepper. Mix well with your hands until just combined.

Divide the mixture into 4 equal parts and shape into patties.

Grill the patties for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked to your desired level of doneness.

Meanwhile, toast the buns on the grill.

Assemble the sliders by spreading a slice of Swiss cheese on the bottom bun, followed by a cooked patty, a spoonful of sauerkraut, and finally the top bun.
