Korean-Style Skillet Roe
A quick and flavorful dish made with pan-seared roe, spicy Korean chili flakes, and crunchy vegetables.
Ingredients
- β6 oz skillet roeany type of roe
- β2 tbsp cooking oilvegetable or canola oil
- β2 tbsp gochujangKorean chili paste
- β1 tsp soy saucepreferably low-sodium
- β2 cloves garlicminced
- β1/4 cup green onionschopped
- β1 tsp sesame oiloptional
- β salt and pepper
Instructions

Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.

Add the roe and cook for 2-3 minutes, until lightly browned.

In a small bowl, whisk together gochujang, soy sauce, and 1 tablespoon of water.

Pour the sauce over the roe and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until the sauce is bubbly and slightly thickened.

Sprinkle with green onions and drizzle with sesame oil, if using.
