Turkish Revani Cake with Sweet Split Peas
A traditional Turkish dessert with a twist of adding sweet split peas for added nutrition and flavor.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 cups almond flour
- β1 cup granulated sugar
- β1 cup milk
- β3 large eggs
- β1 teaspoon baking powder
- β1/2 teaspoon salt
- β1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- β1 cup dried split peassweet, rinsed and drained
- β1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Preheat the oven to 350Β°F (180Β°C).

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the almond flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and melted butter.

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.

Stir in the sweet split peas and ground cinnamon.

Pour the batter into a greased 9-inch round cake pan.

Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
