Uruguayan Beef Skewers
A classic Uruguayan dish, our beef skewers are marinated in a zesty blend of spices and grilled to perfection.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Beef strips (1 pound)Cut into 1-inch pieces
- β1 Red onion (1)Cut into 1-inch pieces
- β1 Red bell pepper (1)Cut into 1-inch pieces
- β3 cloves Garlic (3 cloves)Minced
- β2 tablespoons Uruguayan oregano (2 tablespoons)Dried
- β2 tablespoons Lime juice (2 tablespoons)Freshly squeezed
- β2 tablespoons Olive oil (2 tablespoons)Extra virgin
- βto taste Salt (to taste)
- βto taste Black pepper (to taste)
- βfor serving Chimichurri sauce (for serving)Optional

Preheat grill to medium-high heat.

In a large bowl, whisk together lime juice, olive oil, garlic, and Uruguayan oregano.

Add beef strips, red onion, and red bell pepper to the bowl. Toss to coat with marinade.

Thread beef and vegetables onto skewers, leaving a small space between each piece.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Grill skewers for 8-10 minutes per side, or until beef reaches 135Β°F for medium-rare.

Transfer skewers to a plate and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
