Smoky Russian Pierogi with Crispy Beef
Hearty pierogi filled with a rich beef and onion mixture, topped with a crispy onion crust and served with a side of smoky Russian sauce.

- β1 lb BeefGround beef
- β1 large OnionChopped
- β2 tbsp ButterFor cooking
- β1/2 cup Smoky Russian sauceHomemade or store-bought
- β1/4 cup Crispy onion garnishChopped onion for garnish
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black pepper

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Cook the pierogi dough according to package instructions.

In a pan, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.

Add the chopped onion to the pan and cook until it is translucent and starting to caramelize.

Add the cooked beef and onion mixture to a bowl and stir in the Russian sauce.

Place the cooked pierogi on a baking sheet and spoon the beef and onion mixture onto each pierogi.

Top each pierogi with a spoonful of the crispy onion garnish.
