Spanish Chicken Paella
A classic Spanish dish made with chicken, rice, and spices, perfect for a weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- β1 pound chicken breastcut into 1-inch pieces
- β1 cup paella riceuncooked
- β1 pound spicy sausagecut into 1-inch pieces
- β2 tablespoons light olive oilfor cooking
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β2 cloves garlicminced
- β1 medium tomatodiced
- β1 teaspoon smoked paprikafor flavor
- β1 teaspoon saltfor seasoning
- β1/2 teaspoon pepperfor seasoning

Heat the light olive oil in a large paella pan over medium-high heat.

Add the chicken and spicy sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Add the onion and garlic and cook until the onion is translucent, about 3 minutes.

Add the tomato and cook for 2 minutes.

Add the paella rice, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.

Add 2 cups of water to the pan and bring to a boil.
