Suet Delight Scones
Moist and flavorful scones made with suet and delight.
Ingredients
- β1 cup suet
- β2 cups delight
- β1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- β1 teaspoon baking powder
- β1/4 teaspoon salt
- β1/2 cup cold butter
- β3/4 cup heavy cream
- β1 large eggs

Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.

Add suet to the dry ingredients and rub with fingers until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Add cold butter and use a pastry blender or fingers to work into the mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.

In a separate bowl, whisk together delight, heavy cream, and egg until well combined.

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until a dough forms.

Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently until it comes together.

Pat the dough into a circle that is about 1 inch thick.

Use a biscuit cutter or the rim of a glass to cut out scones.
