Tostada Pakora
A crispy Indian-style tostada fritter made with tostadas, onions, and spices.
Ingredients
- β4-6 tostadas
- β1 medium onionfinely chopped
- β1/2 cup all-purpose flourfor coating
- β1 tablespoon cornstarchfor coating
- β1 cup vegetable oilfor frying
- β1/2 teaspoon garam masala powderfor flavor
- βto taste salt

1. In a large bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour and cornstarch.

2. Gradually add water to the flour mixture and mix until a smooth batter forms.

3. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.

4. Dip each tostada into the batter, coating it evenly.

5. Carefully place the battered tostada into the hot oil.

6. Fry the tostada for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.

7. Remove the tostada from the oil and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

8. Sprinkle the fried tostada with garam masala powder and salt to taste.
