Walnut Pesto Pasta with Croatian Sausage
A hearty and flavorful pasta dish featuring Croatian sausage, walnuts, and a rich pesto sauce.
Ingredients
- β280g croatian sausagecasings removed
- β250g pastalinguine
- β60g walnutchopped
- β3 cloves garlicminced
- β120g parmesan cheesegrated
- β60ml olive oilextra virgin
- β salt
- β black pepper
Instructions

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to the package instructions.

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.

Add the Croatian sausage and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through.

Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add the chopped walnuts and cook for 2 minutes.

Stir in the parmesan cheese and cook until melted.

Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and then drain the pasta.

Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the sausage mixture and toss to combine.

If the pasta seems dry, add a bit of the reserved pasta water.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
