Crispy Chia Wontons
A crispy Chinese-inspired snack with a crunchy wonton crust and a chia seed filling. Perfect as a snack or dessert.
Ingredients
- ●1/2 cup Chia seeds
- ●1 sheet Umami flaky pastry dough (homemade or store-bought)
- ●1 tablespoon Spanish olive oil
- ●to taste Seed salt
- ●1 tablespoon Crumble sugar
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Roll out the pastry dough to a thickness of 1/8 inch.

Cut out squares of dough, about 3 inches per side.

In a small bowl, mix together chia seeds and olive oil.

Place a small spoonful of the chia seed mixture onto the center of each dough square.

Fold the dough over the filling to form a triangle or a square shape, pressing the edges to seal.

Brush the tops of the wontons with a little bit of olive oil and sprinkle with crumble sugar.

Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until crispy and golden brown.
