Portuguese Chocolate Mousse
A rich and creamy Portuguese dessert made with velvety chocolate and topped with whipped cream.
Ingredients
- β8 ounces Portuguese chocolategood quality chocolate for best flavor
- β2 ounces velvety chocolateused for mousse texture
- β1 cup milkwhole milk for richness
- β1 cup whipped creamoptional topping
Instructions

Melt the 8 ounces of Portuguese chocolate in a double boiler or in the microwave in 30-second increments, stirring between each interval until smooth.

In a separate bowl, whip the 1 cup of milk until it begins to thicken.

In another bowl, whip the 2 ounces of velvety chocolate until light and fluffy.

Fold the whipped milk into the whipped chocolate until well combined.

Fold the melted chocolate into the chocolate mixture until well combined.

Pour the mixture into individual serving cups or a large serving dish.

Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until set.

Top with whipped cream, if desired.
