Traditional German Schnitzel Gratin
A classic German dish featuring breaded and fried pork cutlets topped with a creamy gratin mixture and baked to perfection.

- β1 cup BreadcrumbsPanko breadcrumbs work well
- β1 cup All-purpose flourFor dusting

- β1 cup Gratin mixtureStore-bought or homemade mixture

Season the pork cutlets with salt and pepper.

Dust the pork cutlets with flour, shaking off excess.

Dip the floured pork cutlets in beaten eggs and then coat in breadcrumbs.

Heat butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the breaded pork cutlets until golden brown and cooked through.

Transfer the fried pork cutlets to a baking dish.

Arrange onions and garlic on top of the pork cutlets.

Spread the gratin mixture over the onions and garlic.

Sprinkle cheddar cheese over the gratin mixture.

Bake in a preheated oven at 375Β°F (190Β°C) for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
