Tarte Tatin French Tart
A classic French dessert made by caramelizing apples in butter and sugar, then topping with pastry. A sweet and indulgent treat for any occasion.
Ingredients

- β1/2 cup Butter
- β1 cup Granulated sugar
- β1 sheet Pastry dough
- βpinch Cinnamon
- βpinch Salt

Preheat the oven to 425Β°F (220Β°C).

Peel, core, and halve the apples, then set aside.

Roll out the pastry dough to a thickness of about 1/4 inch (6 mm).

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the granulated sugar and cook until the sugar dissolves.

Add the sliced apples to the skillet and cook until they're tender and lightly caramelized, about 10-12 minutes.

Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.

Remove the skillet from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.

Invert a serving plate over the skillet and carefully flip the tart onto the plate.
