Malaysian Grilled Chicken Skewers
A delicious and easy-to-make recipe for Malaysian-style grilled chicken skewers, perfect for a quick dinner or outdoor gathering.

- β500g Chicken breastcut into 1-inch cubes
- β2 tbsp Vegetable oilfor brushing skewers
- β2 tbsp Kecap manisMalaysian sweet soy sauce
- β2 cloves Grated gingerminced
- β2 cloves Garlicminced
- β2-3 Chili pepperssliced
- β2 tbsp Lime juicefreshly squeezed
- β1 can Coconut milkoptional
- βto taste Saltoptional
- βto taste Pepperoptional

1. In a large bowl, whisk together kecap manis, ginger, garlic, chili peppers, and lime juice.

2. Add the chicken cubes to the marinade and mix until coated.

3. Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers, leaving a small space between each piece.

4. Brush the skewers with vegetable oil and season with salt and pepper to taste.

5. Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

6. Grill the skewers for 8-10 minutes per side, or until the chicken is cooked through.

7. If using coconut milk, brush it onto the skewers during the last 2 minutes of grilling.
