Free Worcester Stew
A hearty stew made with tender beef and vegetables, flavored with Worcestershire sauce.
Ingredients
- β1 pound beef stew meatcut into 1 1/2-inch cubes
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β2 medium carrotpeeled and chopped
- β2 medium potatopeeled and chopped
- β2 tablespoons Worcestershire saucefree
- β1 cup beef brothgluten-free
- β1 tablespoon tomato pasteoptional
- β1 teaspoon thymedried

Heat a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Add the beef and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Add the onion, carrot, and potato to the pot.

Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add the Worcestershire sauce, beef broth, tomato paste, and thyme to the pot.

Bring to a boil, then cover and transfer to the oven.

Bake at 300Β°F (150Β°C) for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, or until the meat is tender.
