Slovakian Squid Gratin
A unique Slovakian-inspired dish featuring tender squid in a rich, savory gratin.
Ingredients
- ●12 oz Slovakian squidfresh or frozen, thawed
- ●4 tbs Butter
- ●1 tsp Salt
- ●1 cup Salty cheesegrated, such as Parmesan or feta
- ●1 tsp Xanthous paprika
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Rinse the squid and pat dry with paper towels.

Melt 2 tbs of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the squid and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until tender.

Transfer the squid to a baking dish.

In a separate saucepan, melt the remaining 2 tbs of butter over medium heat.

Add the grated cheese and stir until melted and smooth.

Sprinkle the xanthous paprika over the squid.

Pour the cheese sauce over the squid.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the sauce is bubbly.
