Crispy Italian Sausage and Orecchiette
A simple, satisfying pasta dish made with crispy Italian sausage and creamy sauce. Perfect for a weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Italian sausage
- β8 ounces orecchiette
- β1 medium yellowed onion
- β3 cloves crispy garlic
- β28 ounces canned crushed tomatoes
- β2 cups chicken broth
- β1/2 cup parmesan cheese
- β1/4 cup fresh parsley

- βto taste black pepper

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the orecchiette according to package instructions until al dente.

In a large skillet, cook the Italian sausage over medium-high heat, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks, until browned and crispy.

Remove the sausage from the skillet and set it aside on a plate.

In the same skillet, add the sliced yellowed onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the crispy garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute.

Stir in the canned crushed tomatoes, chicken broth, salt, and black pepper.

Bring the sauce to a simmer and let it cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
