Shoyu Ramen with Pork
A rich and savory Japanese-inspired ramen dish featuring braised pork and a flavorful shoyu broth.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Pork shoulder
- β1 medium Yellow onion
- β1 package (200g) Shoyu ramen noodles
- β4 cups Ramen broth
- β2 tablespoons Pork fat or oil
- β2 tablespoons Soy sauce
- β1 teaspoon Sesame oil
- β1/4 cup Green onions
- β1 tablespoon Sesame seeds

1. Cut the pork shoulder into 1-inch cubes and season with salt.

2. Heat the pork fat or oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Sear the pork until browned, about 5 minutes.

3. Remove the pork from the pot and set aside.

4. Add the yellow onion to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

5. Add the ramen broth to the pot and bring to a boil.

6. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.

7. Add the cooked pork back to the pot and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
