Brazilian Chicken Stew
A hearty and flavorful stew originating from Brazil, made with tender chicken and a rich blend of spices.
Ingredients
- β1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast or thighs
- β1 medium onion
- β3 cloves garlic
- β2 medium tomato
- β1 large bell pepper
- β2 teaspoons cumin
- β1 teaspoon paprika
- β1 teaspoon salt
- β1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- β1 cup stewhomemade or store-bought

Heat oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.

Add the chicken and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-6 minutes.

Remove the chicken from the pot and set aside.

Add the onion, garlic, and bell pepper to the pot and cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.

Add the cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper to the pot and cook for 1 minute.

Add the tomato and stew to the pot and stir to combine.

Return the chicken to the pot and bring the stew to a simmer.
