Filipino-Style Lumpia
Crispy Filipino spring rolls with a savory, meaty filling. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Ground Pork80/20 lean to fat ratio
- β1 medium Onion
- β3 cloves Garlic
- β20-24 sheets Lumpia Wrappers
- β1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black Pepper
- β1 teaspoon Filipino-style Seasoning

1. In a large pan over medium-high heat, cook ground pork until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.

2. Add diced onion and minced garlic to the pan and cook until the onion is translucent.

3. Add Filipino-style seasoning and cook for 1-2 minutes.

4. Lay a lumpia wrapper on a clean surface and place about 1 tablespoon of the pork mixture in the center of the wrapper.

5. Brush the edges of the wrapper with a little water, then fold the bottom half of the wrapper over the filling, followed by the sides, and roll the wrapper up to form a tight cylinder.

6. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.

7. Heat about 1/2 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

8. When the oil is hot, add a few of the lumpia to the skillet and fry until they are golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes on each side.

9. Remove the lumpia from the oil and drain on paper towels.

10. Serve the lumpia hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
