Perilla Leaf Wrap with Zesty Korean Sauce
A Chinese-inspired dish featuring perilla leaves wrapped around a flavorful Korean-inspired filling.
Ingredients
- β4-6 leaves Perilla leaves
- β1/4 cup Zesty Korean sauce
- β1 tsp Korean chili flakes (gochugaru)
- β2 tbsp Sesame oil
- β2 cloves Minced garlic
- β1/4 cup Chopped green onions
- β2 tbsp Crushed toasted sesame seeds
- β4-6 wraps Leafy wrap

1. In a small bowl, whisk together the zesty Korean sauce, sesame oil, Korean chili flakes, and minced garlic.

2. Lay a perilla leaf flat and place a small spoonful of the Korean-inspired filling in the center of the leaf.

3. Fold the bottom half of the perilla leaf up over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll the leaf into a neat package.

4. Repeat with the remaining perilla leaves and filling.

5. Serve the perilla wraps with additional Korean chili flakes and crushed toasted sesame seeds on the side, if desired.
