Algerian Casserole
A hearty and comforting Algerian-inspired casserole made with zesty beans and pillowy texture.
Ingredients
- β1 tsp algerian spice blend
- β1 can (15 oz) canned black beans, drained and rinsedzesty
- β1 cup pillowy naan bread, cut into cubes
- β2 medium casserole tomatoesdiced
- β1 medium onion, diced
- β2 cloves garlic, minced
- β2 tbsp olive oil
- βto taste salt
- β1/4 cup fresh parsley, choppedoptional

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.

Add onion and garlic; cook until softened, 3-4 minutes.

Stir in algerian spice blend; cook 1 minute.

Add canned black beans, diced tomatoes, salt; cook 2-3 minutes.

In a separate bowl, toss cubed naan bread with a pinch of salt.

Spoon the bean mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Top with the bread croutons.

Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.

Remove foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.
