Moroccan Beef Tagine
A hearty, flavorful tagine dish made with ground beef and a blend of mediterranean spices. The silky texture of the sauce and the zesty kick of the spices make this a standout meal.
Ingredients
- β1 lb Ground Beef80/20 lean to fat ratio
- β2 tbsp Tagine Spice Blendavailable at most middle eastern markets
- β2 tbsp Olive Oiluse a high-quality, extra virgin oil
- β1 medium Onionchopped
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- β1 can Mediterranean Tomatoes14 oz, diced
- β2 tbsp Silky Tomato Pasteavailable at most grocery stores
- βto taste Salt and Pepperuse freshly ground pepper

Heat the olive oil in a large tagine or Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.

Add the tagine spice blend and cook for 1 minute.

Add the diced tomatoes and silky tomato paste. Stir to combine.

Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook, covered, for 30 minutes.
