Japanese Stuffed Warak Enab
A fusion dish of Japanese ingredients and traditional Middle Eastern warak enab. The crispy exterior gives way to a tender interior.
Ingredients
- β4 Warak Enabmedium-sized, blanched
- β2 tbsp Japanese Rice Vinegarfor marinade
- β1 tsp Sesame Oilfor marinade
- β2 tsp Miso Pastefor marinade
- β1 tsp Soy Saucefor marinade
- β1/4 cup Crushed Sesame Seedsfor topping
- β1/4 cup Diced Green Onionsfor garnish

Blanch warak enab in boiling water for 5 minutes.

Drain and rinse with cold water.

In a bowl, whisk together Japanese rice vinegar, sesame oil, miso paste, and soy sauce.

Add the blanched warak enab to the marinade and toss to coat.

Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Preheat a non-stick pan over medium heat.

Add the marinated warak enab and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, until crispy.

Transfer the warak enab to a plate and top with crushed sesame seeds.
