Beef Birria Tacos
A flavorful and comforting Mexican dish, Beef Birria Tacos are tender, juicy, and rich in flavor. Served with a side of fresh cilantro, onion, and lime.
Ingredients
- β2 pounds Beef (2 pounds)
- β1 medium Onion
- β3 cloves Garlic
- β1 teaspoon Mexican oregano
- β1 teaspoon Cumin
- β2 cups Dried ancho chilies
- β4 cups Beef broth
- β2 tablespoons Lime juice
- β1 teaspoon Salt
- β8-10 Corn tortillas

Preheat the oven to 300Β°F (150Β°C).

In a large Dutch oven, brown the beef over medium-high heat.

Add the onion and garlic to the pot and cook until the onion is translucent.

Add the Mexican oregano, cumin, and dried ancho chilies to the pot and cook for 1 minute.

Add the beef broth to the pot and bring to a boil.

Cover the pot and transfer it to the preheated oven.

Braise the beef for 2 hours, or until it is tender and falls apart easily.

Shred the beef with two forks and add the lime juice and salt to the pot.

Warm the corn tortillas by wrapping them in a damp paper towel and microwaving for 20-30 seconds.
