French Smoked Chicken Casserole
A hearty, comforting casserole featuring smoky chicken in a French-inspired gratin. This dish is perfect for a chilly evening.

- ●6 slices smoky bacondiced
- ●1 large onionchopped
- ●1 cup gratin cheeseshredded
- ●2 cups cassabediced
- ●1 cup french breadcubed
- ●3 cloves garlicminced

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet, cook the smoky bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove from heat and set aside.

In the same skillet, sauté the chopped onion until translucent. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

Add the diced chicken breast to the skillet and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

In a separate saucepan, combine the grated gratin cheese and 1/4 cup of milk. Stir until smooth and melted.

In a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, create a layer of diced cassabe.

Add the cooked chicken mixture on top of the cassabe layer.

Pour the grated cheese sauce over the chicken mixture.

Top with the crispy smoky bacon and cubed french bread.
