Crispy Russian Toast
A simple Indian-inspired breakfast dish using crispy bread and a Russian twist.
Ingredients
- β1 loaf Crispy Russian Breadpreferably day-old
- β2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter
- β1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon Powderor to taste
- β1/4 teaspoon Sugar Powderoptional
- β1/4 teaspoon Cardamom Powderoptional
- β1 tablespoon Milk
- β1 tablespoon Ghee or Clarified Butter
Instructions

Preheat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat.

Slice the crispy Russian bread into 1-inch slices.

Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in the pan and add 1-2 slices of bread.

Sprinkle cinnamon powder, sugar powder, and cardamom powder (if using) over the bread.

Drizzle milk over the bread and cook for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.

Flip the toast and cook for another 2 minutes or until crispy and golden brown.

Repeat with remaining bread slices and butter.

Serve hot with a dollop of ghee or clarified butter on top.
