French Mediterranean Pasta Bake
A delicious, comforting pasta bake infused with the flavors of the Mediterranean, perfect for a French-inspired meal.
Ingredients
- ●8 oz mediterranean pastapenne or similar shape
- ●1 sheet flaky, buttery pastrythawed
- ●2 tbsp olive oilfor brushing pastry
- ●2 cloves garlicminced
- ●1 tsp lemon zestgrated
- ●1 cup feta cheesecrumbly
- ●1/4 cup chopped fresh parsleyoptional
- ●1 tsp saltto taste
- ●1/4 tsp black pepperto taste
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Stir in the feta cheese until melted and well combined with the garlic.

Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine with the feta mixture.

In a separate bowl, mix together the grated lemon zest, salt, and black pepper.

Roll out the flaky, buttery pastry to fit the top of a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Transfer the pasta mixture to the baking dish and brush the edges with the beaten egg.

Place the pastry on top of the pasta and brush with the remaining egg.

Sprinkle the lemon zest mixture over the pastry.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
