Indian-Style Mediterranean Pasta Bake
A fusion of Indian and Mediterranean flavors, this pasta bake is a perfect comfort food. Flaky and buttery pastry adds a delightful crunch.
Ingredients
- β1 sheet flaky pastry
- β4 tbsp butter
- β8 oz mediterranean pasta
- β1 tsp ground cuminadjust to taste
- β1 tsp garam masalaadjust to taste
- β1 tsp salt
- β0.5 tsp black pepper
- β1 cup grated cheddar cheese
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Roll out the flaky pastry to fit a 9x13-inch baking dish.

In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.

Add the ground cumin and garam masala. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Add the mediterranean pasta and cook until al dente.

In a separate saucepan, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter.

Add the grated cheddar cheese. Cook until melted and smooth.

Combine the cooked pasta and cheese sauce.

Transfer the pasta mixture to the prepared baking dish.

Roll out the remaining pastry to fit the top of the baking dish.

Brush the pastry with a little water and place on top of the pasta.

Cut a few slits in the top to allow steam to escape.
