Mexican Tofu Tagine Tacos
A flavorful fusion of Mexican and North African cuisine, featuring crispy tacos filled with marinated tofu and tagine sauce.

- β2 tbsp algerian tagine
- β1 tsp acrid hot sauceoptional
- β1 tsp cumin
- β1 tsp chili powder
- β2 tbsp lime juice
- β8-10 corn tortillasfor tacos
- β1 avocadosliced

Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat.

Cut the tofu into small cubes and marinate in lime juice, cumin, chili powder, and acrid hot sauce (if using) for at least 30 minutes.

Heat 1 tbsp of oil in the skillet and cook the tofu until crispy on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.

In a separate pan, heat the algerian tagine over medium heat.

Warm the corn tortillas by wrapping them in a damp paper towel and microwaving for 20-30 seconds.

Assemble the tacos by placing the tofu onto a tortilla and spooning the tagine sauce over the top.

Serve with sliced avocado and additional hot sauce (if desired).
