French Cherry Tart
A sweet and tangy tart made with cherry filling and a crispy pastry crust.
Ingredients
- β1 sheet, thawed flatbreadhomemade or store-bought
- β2 cups, fresh or frozen cherryany variety
- β1/4 cup, crumbled blue cheese fermentedoptional
- β1/2 cup, chopped marzipan germanoptional
- β2 tbsp sugargranulated
- β1 tsp almond extractextract

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Roll out flatbread to 1/4-inch thickness.

Transfer dough to a 9-inch tart pan with a removable bottom.

Press dough into corners and up sides of pan.

In a bowl, mix together cherry filling ingredients (cherry, sugar, almond extract).

Pour cherry mixture into dough-lined pan.

If using blue cheese and marzipan, sprinkle on top of cherry mixture.

Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until crust is golden brown and filling is bubbly.

Remove from oven and let cool completely on a wire rack.
